Frequently Asked Questions

1. What happens if I use more than 3 hours in 3 months?
Not a problem. If you use more than the 3 hours of maintenance time allotted, we bill you at our standard rate. Prior to doing so, we will (a) provide you an estimate for how long we expect the changes to take, and (b) request your permission to make the changes.

2. How long is the contract period?
We don’t want to lock our clients into anything. That’s why we’ve arranged our client agreements to extend for only 3 months. At the end of 3 months you decide whether to continue with JX Website Maintenance.

3. How do I notify you of the updates I need to have made?
Just call us and/or email us your changes. One of our client project managers will review the changes and contact you to let you know (a) how long we estimate changes will take to make, and (b) when we expect to have the changes made by. (Most changes are made within 24 hours.)

4. Can you provide me with Search Engine Marketing Services?
Yes. We provide search engine optimization and pay-per-click services through our parent company. To read more about our parent company and the services it provides, click here.

5. How many hours of maintenance a month does a typical website need?

It all depends on the website. We’ve found that business-to-consumer websites typically need more maintenance than corporate/B2B websites. But it really depends. Give us a ring and we’ll take a look at your website and provide an estimate.

6. What if I need a change made immediately — can I request faster service?
Most changes are made within 24 hours of the request. If a change is not made within 72 hours, it’s on us. Should you have an emergency and need changes made immediately to your website, we will find a way to accommodate you.

7. Is hosting included in your price?
Yes. We will host your website on our servers as part of our standard maintenance agreement.

8. Will you maintain a website that is hosted on somebody else’s server?
Yes, under most circumstances we will maintain a website on third-party servers. However, we prefer to host the websites that we maintain. By hosting a website ourselves, we can service it much more quickly (costing you less) and we can take full responsibility (so there is no finger-pointing in case of an outage).

9. Do you serve clients outside the New York area?
Absolutely. We serve clients throughout North America.
